ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: (A) EDUCATIONAL: Master’s degree in Physics or Chemistry or Computer Science or Forensic Science with Physics or Chemistry or Forensic Science or Computer Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent* OR B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering or MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science from a recognized university or equivalent**. Note (i):*  Equivalent  qualification  may  be  treated  as  NIL.  Note  (ii):  **Equivalent   meansB.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology / Electronics and Communication Engineering / M.Sc. in Information Technology / Masters in Computer Application / Bachelor of Engineering in Electricals and Electronics / B.E. in Electronics and Instrumentation / M.Sc. in Cyber Security.
(B) EXPERIENCE: Three years experience of analytical methods/research in the relevant field. NOTE-I: Experience of Analytical methods/Research in the relevant field means experience in the field of identification of handwriting, typewriting, printing matters, analysis of Ink and other allied problems. NOTE-II: The qualification(s) regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the vacancies reserved for them.
DESIRABLE: Doctorate degree in concerned discipline from a recognized University or equivalent. DUTIES: The officers are required to examine crime exhibits, visit scenes of crime, to depose expert evidence in courts and to assist Senior Officer.
